Some of us get rare opportunities to be invited to talk shows where hundreds, thousands and probably millions are watching and listening to what you have to say.
For first timers, the pressure will be felt a few days before the live broadcast. Panic will surface every time you think of it and you will probably start to think of things to say or gestures on how you will present yourself to the audience. Well, that will not happen if your hosts are like Marty and Misty of PodJam TV Live!
Marty and Misty started PodJam TV Live July of 2011 and have been experiencing a lot of success with their content and style of production. Most of their content is a mixture of blog articles and videos with a variety of topic from social media, technology, gadgets, travel and photography. When it comes to production, these geeks know what they are doing.
PodJam TV hosted a live chat via Google Hangout and I was one of the guests. Normally, I would freak out and start eating a gallon of ice cream to keep me calm but because of PodJam TV’s workflow, everything went smoothly and did not feel any pressure.
So, What Is PodJam’s Secret?
Consistency – When it comes to the elements of promoting the show, everything is consistent. From the hash tag that will be use and the promotion copy to send in Twitter or any of the social media channels, consistency will add more credibility to the show. It tells people that everything is well-organized and planned.
The Show Rundown – Podjam TV is also known for having organized segments but that doesn’t mean that there are no bloopers (I’ve seen a couple of them of months ago). Before the show, send your guests a show rundown. This contains the workflow of the show with some time estimates that will guide the hosts and their guests to avoid chaos during the discussions.
Send The Topic In Advance – As much as we all want to deliver RAW content, we also want things to be organized to deliver quality content. This will allow your guests to think about the topic in general and to create their own list of important points they want share. A lot of time will be saved and the show will have more “meat” in it.
Punctuality and Time – Time is gold. As hosts, you need to be conscious about your guests’ time and your audience. PodJam makes sure that everybody is online in Google Hangout 15 minutes prior to show time. This will allow everybody to have ample time if adjustments need to be made or to make sure everything is A OK. This element is also part of the show rundown.
Have Fun – Remember to have fun. This is one of our goals as content creators, to help our audience have fun with our content and through our method of delivery and PodJam do this amazingly well.

There may be some other secrets that they are keeping from us. Eventually, they will run out of space to keep their secrets and the only choice they will have is to share it through their amazing content and future shows of PodJam Live TV! Visit them at www.podjam.tv!
